Our Safety Awards

• Certificate of Recognition 2008
  American Society of Concrete Contractors
  The Certificate of Recognition is awarded to companies whose "incident rate" is below the national average. We have received this award every year since 2002.
• Safety Improvement Award 2008
  American Society of Concrete Contractors
  The Safety Improvement Award is given to companies who have reducd the rate of lost workday cases from the previous year.
• STEP Platinum Award 2009
  Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia
  The Safety Training and Evaluation Award (STEP) recognizes companies who achieve effective safety practices at their firms, and are based on 20 key elements of contractor safety programs such as management commitment, safety responsibilities of personnel, and budget. We have received this award every year since 2002.
• Safety Award of Excellence 2009
  Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia
  Winners of the Safety Awards of Excellence are determined by calculating a company's total incident rate and the amount of time lost due to job-related injuries. To achieve this award, companies must have had no employee fatalities, and their total recordable and lost time rates must both be lower than the national average.
• Commendation for Safety Excellence 2008
  Association of General Contractors
  Third Place ranking of members with over 500,000 workhours.

Precision’s safety program is a high priority for management and field employees. The mission of our safety program is to ensure that workers at all levels are properly trained in the safest ways to perform their jobs. Our commitment to safety is demonstrated by our commitment to on-going training, a full-time safety director, quarterly management meetings that stress jobsite safety, required weekly safety jobsite meetings and daily huddles. Precision works closely with our insurance risk managers to complete job site safety audits and evaluations on a regular basis. We maintain a strong focus on safety in every task we perform and this has become an important element that sets up apart from our competition.

Precision provides training for all levels of personnel to meet and exceed OSHA requirements. This begins with our new hire orientation, which involves safety videos, review of the safety manual, and on the job safety training. We require a high level of safety training for all field supervision and provide the tools necessary to complete the jobs safely with the emphasis of preventing accidents and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Precision's commitment to safety also involves ensuring a drug-free workforce through new hire drug screen requirements and random drug screens on all level of employees. We meet and exceed the requirements as members of the Drug-Free Workplace Program of the State of Georgia Chamber of Commerce.

Precision recognizes our employees for our safety success by our Safety Incentive Program, which includes monetary awards for "no jobsite accidents or injuries, regularly conducting required weekly safety meetings and daily huddles".

Precision values and practices safety and we are proud that this commitment is reflected in our safety record. Our NCCI Experience Modification ratings are among the best in the nation and we are recognized yearly for our exceptional safety record by construction related associations such as the Associated Builders and Contractors, Associated General Contractors, and insurance groups.
