Precision Concrete Construction has completed Chick-Fil-A's new I.T. Warehouse Expansion and Interior Renovation. The project consisted of a 9,000 SF slab on grade and elevated slab addition. The project included 30" diameter architectural concrete columns that stand 22'-0" tall. 27,000 feet if stained concrete floors were also completed by Precision.
Precision Concrete Construction has been awarded the concrete package for the St. Francis Hospital Project in Columbus, Georgia. The project is a $110 million expansion that includes a four-story, 189,000 SF Clinical Services building on the back side of the main hospital structure and a four story, 169,000 SF Medical Office Building. Both buildings have been designed so that 4 additional floors could be added in the future. In addition to the 2 new buildings, the Central Enery Plant has 1,100 SF of addition and renovation, the Cardiovascular ICU consists of 11,825 SF of new addition and the Medical ICU consists of 1,925 SF of new addition. Site improvements include new retaining walls, stamped concrete drives, sidewalks and added paved parking lots. Skanska serves as the Construction Manager and General Contractor. The architect is Howell Rusk Dodson and the structural engineer is Wright Engineering.
Evans General Contractors has awarded Precision Concrete Construction the MTU Tognum Expansion located in Graniteville, South Carolina. The project consists of an 8,000 square foot test cell builidng with 52 ft. tall elevator and stair shear walls and 36 ft. tall concrete walls that will inclose the diesel engines being tested here. A 6,000 SF mechanical building and utility bridge are also included with the project. Precision Concrete Construction previously completed the MTU Diesel Production Facility in 2010.
Clearwater Paper Warehouse - Project Update Precision has passed the mid point of construction on the 2nd phase of the Clearwater Paper Project. This is a large industrial building in Shelby, NC; where paper products will be manufactured. Phase I included a large retaining wall spanning the length of the plant. Phase II consists of spread footings, piers, vaults, trench drains, crash wall, foundation pads for heavy equipment, and slab on grade. Clemson Lee Hall in ENR magazine The future architectural showcase that is Lee Hall on the campus of Clemson University is featured in ENR's Southeast edition this month. Precision crews are in the midst of placing the architectural exposed floors that feature the latest and greatest technology of shrinkage compensating concrete. Precision Concrete project featured in Concrete Construction Magazine The Atlanta Bonded Warehouse Addition (ABW) in Kennesaw, GA was featured in the September 2010 issue of Concrete Construction Magazine. The project was featured due to its unique 180,000-square-foot light-reflective floor with no cracks and only one open construction joint.

Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia announce 2010 Safety Award Winners.
The ABC presented its 2010 Safety Awards to honorees in the field of construction at its annual luncheon held on May 17th. The association's National STEP and Georgia Chapter Safety Awards are given yearly to Georgia contractors who have achieved the lowest rate of on-the-job accidents in the state, and have demonstrated the highest commitment to safety. Precision Concrete Construction, Inc. received the Gold level award. To achieve Gold, a company must have an incidence rate equal to or less thanb 1 1/2 times the NAICS average.
Community Service Involvment
Precision Concrete Construction assisted Boy Scout Troop 465 by lending a travel trailer for the week of summer camp. This enabled the troup to easily manage food and supply delivery for over 70 people.
